Carter Carburetor Site - 2805 N. Grand Blvd.

Current Status

The DRAFT Removal Action Final Report was submitted to USEPA Region VII on May 10, 2019.

Administrative Order on Consent

ACF Industries, LLC (ACF) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) entered into an agreement for remediation of the Former Carter Carburetor Site, CERCLA ASA AOC 07-2013-008.  This agreement requires ACF Industries LLC to meet the Performance Standards established in the Engineering Evaluation and Cost Analysis developed for the Site and as prescribed in the Enforcement Action Memorandum, March 30, 2011.  ACF is in the final stages of performing Removal Actions at the Carter Carburetor Site at 2805 North Grand Boulevard.

The Goal of the Removal Action

Make the Site safe for reasonable reuse, as described in the USEPA approved Site decision documents,
and prevent migration of contaminants from the Site. ACF has engaged HRP to provide oversight for the environmental cleanup and ensure the Removal Actions are implemented. These Removal Actions are safe to human health and the environment; and the USEPA will monitor work at the Site to ensure public safety.
